- Connect new learning to prior learning and existing knowledge
- Make connections with world outside of the classroom
- Stimulate thinking about new learning to come
- Use this opportunity to gauge what students already know
Student
Students engage with learning the moment they walk through the door by making connections with what they already know either individually, in pairs or in groups. This is also time for students to raise and ask their own questions.
